The most of people associate the magical name "Koh Phangan" with nothing but Full Moon Party, clubbing and a never ending legion of music loving hedonists. But the island by day is a unique combination of yin and yang with some fantastic beaches in the Gulf of Thailand each of which is a favorite destination on its own.
Like the other idyllic beaches of southern Thailand, Koh Phangan has powder-white sands, turquoise water and nodding coco palms all add up to what some may claim to be a tropical cliche but to others these temptations are a veritable paradise on earth.
Among the moon party and music festival goers the most popular beaches are Haad Rin and Baan Tai, while Thongsala town can offer a good choice of budget accommodation and cheap food. The beaches on the West coast of the island are more romantic and lazy atmosphere with a great selection restaurant and bars, that is preferred by couples and families with children. Haad Yao and Haad Salad beach are the most popular beaches in this part of Koh Phangan.
Thong Nai Pan Noi & Yai is a favorite holiday place on Koh Phangan's East coast with an unique collection of 5 star hotels, fine dining and glorious beaches is very much the most popular. Take some time for exploring the prominent beaches on Koh Phangan and learn more about this main attraction of the island. |
