What to See in Koh Phangan
|
A trip to Koh Phangan can be filled with culture, nature, the spiritual or, even better, all of these. While Koh Phangan's beaches remain the island's biggest attractions, the temples and shrines scattered throughout the interior are fascinating reminders of a rich and colourful past.
The other places to visit in Koh Phangan are the island's crocodile, monkey and snake show, a spectacular Ang Thong Marine National park as well as interior waterfalls tucked away against the backdrop of verdant forests. |

Phangan’s Tallest Tree
|
With an impressive girth of some 10 metres, a monstrous tropical rubber forest tree (Dipterocapus Alatus Roxb.ex) stands by the side of the road nearby Wat Pho.
Definitely a good photo opportunity; a smaller but no less impressive neighbour is diagonally opposite. |
