Have you heard about Haad Wai Nam beach? This tiny beach is located next to the North of The Sanctuary and five kilometers from Haad Rin famous for its Full Moon Party.
In this part of the island's east coast are three small beaches, situated close to each other and separated by a stone headlands. This are Haad Yuan, Haad Thian East and Haad Wai Nam. The bays are connected to each other easy trails. Haad Wai Nam beach is the most northern. All these three beaches are perfect havens from the busy Haad Rin and it's moon fun.
The beach has all the elements of a tropical Paradise including clear turquoise water, sun, sand and palm trees. There is no coral reef in Haad Wai Nam and you can swim all year round. Facing East Wai Nam enjoys amazing sunrises, alone with the silence and beautiful nature.
There is the only hotel here and the beach can only be reached by foot from The Sanctuary or by boat from Haad Rin. The boat ticket is 300 Bath one way. Wai Nam Huts offers a simple bungalows and the hotel has also Thai restaurant and bar which serves Thai food and Western favorites. Electricity is usually switched off when the owners go to sleep. |
