The southeast part of Koh Phangan is in authority of mountains which actually occupy the whole area. Except for low Ban Tai beach and Ban Kai beach, other part of a landscape is generated in a rough granite, with the abrupt hills leading up to magnificent peaks, covered with a tropical wood. The coast of region bordered by long coral beaches, are submitted: Haad Rin Nai, Ao Hin Lor, Baan Tai, Baan Kai and all known Haad Rin Nok, the place of Full Moon parties. Tishin and here can find rest only on east coast, among such beaches, as: Had Yao east, Had Wai Nam, Had Thian east and Haad Yuan to reach up to which is better on sea.
Rocks break a coastal line, and absence of a coral reef at east coast enables to swim even at the lowest sea level. The rough landscape complicates transport movement to any of these coast, thus to reach here it is possible on 4WD or by boat from Haad Rin beach .
Ao Hin Lor, located between Haad Rin and Baan Kai, in a literal translation means " the Gulf of tempting stones ", and this distinctive part of coastal line Koh Phangan is in authority of huge boulders which act from the sea and nearby hills.
