The beach in Ao Chaloklum is a wide strip of sand, long about 2.5 kilometers, here, in the center of a gulf, on coast there is a village with the same name, being the second main port in Koh Phangan. Ao Chaloklum, not Haad Rin beach is the place to go on the island if you're looking for nightlife per se, but if you can settle for a quiet evening out chatting in peaceful surroundings there are a few places to try out in the Haad Mae Haad/Chaloklum bay.
