 Klong Khong beach is three km strip of soft golden sand with coconut palms, lovely beach reggae bars and smiles of the locals peoples, friendliness which is especially appreciated at the beach located in central part of Koh Lanta's west coast.
Relaxed, calm and vast - here are three words to describe this beach set far back from main road and eponymous Klong Khong village. Idyllic beach, relaxed atmosphere and friendly nightlife in general are quite beautiful place. |

 Klong Khong is the third closest beach to Ban Saladan ferry pier, where ferries arrive from Phuket, Krabi and Phi Phi. Klong Khong is located on the western coast of Lanta island in 20-25 minutes by taxi from Ban Saladan. The road gently hugs the shore, passing from the beach 200 metres away.
On the main road you will find a local mini-markets, including 7/11 (at the southern end of Klong Khong village), ATM, massage rooms, travel agencies, diving centers, street foos vendors, restaurants and bars.

 Relatively populous, Klong Khong beach in any case is not full, even during peak seasons. Dozens of resorts lining the beach explain the presence on this side of Lanta the people, and pools with sea views in those resorts explain why the majority of guests are very difficult to reach the sand. During high tide Klong Khong and his emerald water look amazing. However, during low tide the exposed seabed, showing the eye pattern of rocks and dead coral reef drawing a very dramatic landscape.
These hours are better to spent in restaurants and bars of Klong Khong's hotels where during day you will be freshened by pleasant drinks, so well going under a massive canopy of the shrill blue sky.
 Klong Khing beach a perfect place, devoid of objects preventing admiring sunsets, and at night time a lot of fun beach bars to entertain their guests with a fire show and good music. The most popular nightlife spots in Klong Khong beach: The Sound Shack Bar, Fisherman's Cottage, Where Else, The Chocolate Bar and Bubble Jungle with regularly hosts beach parties timed to the lunar calendar, some of it will make you dance until the morning.

 Sun loungers, umbrellas, gazebos, hammocks, shelters made of palm leaves or just shady spots can be found along the entire length of the beach. Klong Khong is very long beach and it can take few hours for actively exploration. The coastal waters in the Northern part of Klong Khong beach are in the power of stones and dead coral reef which is a broad band stretches to the south, ending near Where Else bar. To swim in this area of Klong Khong better during high tide that would not run aground.
In other hours this beach is quite suitable for hiking or to create a collection of sea-shells of which there are countless. If you are so curious, you can explore the reef inhabitants and preferably no barefoot.
In Klong Khong village on the main road at Kwan''s Thai Food restaurant is a Thai cooking school. Many resorts in Klong Khong right on the beach offer Thai massage service with a standard set of massages from 300 Bath/hour and during the low season in some places you can get a Thai massage for 50 Bath per hour. Each hotel has a travel agency, where the staff will be happy to find for you a lovely activities including tours and excursions. As for activities on the beach - the best option is hammock+ book in hand.

Klong Khong beach and the nearby main road can offer a great selection of restaurants, with a wide range of food, where there will be plenty to choose from, but in spite of this Klong Khong has no fine dining venues, like Klong Dao and Long beach. Despite the fact this place is very like European travelers, Western cusine still dominates in Klong Khong, although pizza and burgers you can get in almost any restaurant.
The beachfront restaurants abound with sea views and serve fresh seafood. Some of them offers Thai style dining, sitting on the floor at low tables on the soft cushions, while others stick to traditional for foreigners body position. Expect to find in Klong Khong many restaurants in the middle range, with an international mix of food in the effort of trying to keep everyone quite well fed and happy.

 There is no luxury resorts in Klong Khing beach but there are plenty of budget options and several medium and four private villas you can be rented for any period of time. Most of this beachfront hotels have restaurants, bars and swimming pools with sea views.
