Even though elephants are not a native species of the island – Phangan elephants come from the cooler north of Thailand – you can find three camps offering elephant trekking here where you can enjoy an elephant ride through the jungle and mountains.
The experience of riding on an elephant is unforgettable as these giant creatures are unbelievably gentle and graceful as they make their way across difficult terrain.  Phangan Safari - Ao Chaloklum
|
 Phangan Safari is one of the most established elephant camp in Koh Phangan located just south of Chaloklum village on the way to Thong Sala. If you want to ride an elephant, they have two elephant treks available on the hills overlooking panoramic views over the north side of Koh Phangn Island. You'll have the chance to feed them, before climbing on to their backs and taking a truly wild elephant trek through the jungle.

Maneerat Elephant - Haad Mae Haad |
 Located next to the main road in Haad Mae Haad area Maneerat Tour offers 30 min Elephant Trekking around and above the Mae Haad hills. They have four elephants for the treks and and besides trekking you can try cpecial package also including a crocodile and snake shows for total price 1000 Bath.

Baan Tai Elephant Trekking |
 Other an exciting Elephant trip experience through the jungle and mountains you can get at Baan Tai Elephant Trekking just near the main road from Baan Tai to Thong Nai Pan beach. The elephant camp is located opposite the small Muay Thai school in the central part of the island and has a small Thai restaurant on hill top. Three trekking programmes are available: 30 minutes - 400 baht (adults) and 250 baht (children 4-10 years old), 45 minutes – 800 baht (adults) and 400 baht (children).
