 Part of the Mu Ko Lanta National pak, Tanod beach is the southernmost beach of the island propping up eastern side of Tanod Cape. Covering most part of Mu Ko Lanta Yai National park - the beach is a mix of jungle, mountains and beaches.
Even during high season you can relax on the beach and not see a single soul. Due to the remoteness from the mainly Koh Lanta's resorts and fee entrance - Tanod beach is the most pristine beach on the island. |

 How to Get to Tanod beach
|
 Tanod beach is located on Koh Lanta's south coast in more than 20 km from the island's capital, Ban Saladan. To get here now is very easy - you need just to drive to the south until you run into National park checkpoint. Further progress by the road next to the south should deprive you of 200 bath/person - fee for visiting the national parks of Thailand.
Buy the ticket, since you have done such a difficult way and head down for a new asphalt road. You are on the spot! |

Tanod beach |
 Tanod beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Ko Lanta. Well protected from stormy weather by long cape where highest lighthouse has set, Tanod is the perfect place for swimming at any time of the year. The idyllic bay stretching from east to west is covered with a broad strip of golden soft sand caressed by crystal-clear emerald waters. The waters is good place for swimming even small kids and also for snorkelling. The beachline has a lot of Casuarina and other shady trees. If to say in two words - tropical paradise. |

 Along the beach in many places you can find benches and gazebos. Toilets are located near the headquarters of the national Park. Here you will find food and drink and there is a place for camping.
The National park has a net of trails and snorkeling should cheer you in the eastern part of Tanod. Climb by step path to Tanod cape where there is an old lighthouse. This point offers wonderful sea views.
