Ban Saladan Shopping

Where to Shop in Ban Saladan

Baan Saladan Shopping - Where to Shop in Baan Saladan If you dream of a mad shopping - Koh Lanta is probably not the best place to buy but Ban Saladan town being so small makes shopping is pretty banal. There are many banks, along with the post office, approximately 10 optical shops, the largest supermarket on the island, souvenir and clothing shops selling T-shirts, as well as galleries.

Don't expect in Ban Saladan a wide range of goods, but this is the best place on the island and don't forget to bargain, because in the next shops you can find the same by lower price!

Krabi Airport Transfer Services,Transfers from Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta & Ao Nang, cheap taxi to koh lanta

Lanta Mart

This is the biggest supermarket on the island with the widest choice. Lanta Mart is constantly improving range of western products to cater the needs of tourists. Swedish and english goods, teas, coffee, wine, alcohol, pasta, bread and a selection of cheeses and packaged ham - it's all here. Prices are not cheap but comparable to the mainland.

The fruit is better not to buy here because they are low quality, but for packaged goods Lanta Mart is probably the best place.

Location: Near Siam Commercial Bank

Saladan Market

Saladan MarketA recent addition to Ko Lanta's shopping scene is a new market of clothing and souvenirs, to the left as you enter the town. All the shops are tiny but there is really a wide selection of shorts, T-shirts, flip-flops, sarongs, sunglasses, jewelry and various galleries, with a large selection of goods. Like everywhere else on the market - here you can bargain.

Opening hours: Daily 09:00 - 21:00
Location: Three streets of small shops located on the left as you enter the town (opposite Lanta Mart)

Catfish bookstore

Catfish bookstore By far the best bookstore on the island, Catfish sells a large assortment of used books in a wide range of languages, as well as some pretty cool souvenirs. Books are always in good condition, but not cheap.

One of the few stores that sells greeting cards and beautiful pictures for different occasions, handmade, and a little expensive.
Opening hours: Daily from 07:30 - 22:00
Location: right at the end of the road, and 250 meters on the left

Lanta Pharma

Lanta Pharma It may seem a little odd place for shopping but while you are in Thailand, you may have reason to visit the pharmacy which is managed by two professional pharmacists who know english and are ready to quell any mild ailment.

Here you can recommend the right medication, and not necessarily to have the recipe. In Saladan, there are other pharmacies, but are not as reliable, and high prices.
Hours: Daily 09:00 - 22:00
Location: as soon as enter in Baan Saladan, right next to Kontiki dive centre

Batik handmade shop

Batik handmade shop This small shop has no name but it is actually found. The owner is very friendly and here you can watch the creation of batik and its subsequent transformation into a sarong.
