Baan Kai is not a wide beach and there is a coral reef about 200 meters from the beach running the full length of the island's south coast, however this does not mean a perfect snorkeling, and during the low tidal seasons (May to October) the water is shallow until the reef. Wat Pho Herbal Sauna is an ideal attractions to restore your powers after Moon parties. It's a good idea too, rent a motorbike and head to explore the picturesque Koh Phangan East coast.
