Tours to Cambodia from Koh Chang |
 Travel trips to neighbouring Cambodia from Trat is becoming more and more popular. Daily to the country of the ancient Khmers go filled with tour buses and minivans usually starting from Koh Chang at 06.00 or 08.00.
For travel there are two main routes:
from Trat to Aranyaprathet and then crossing the border to Siem Reap;
- another route crosses the Cambodian border near Haad Lek in Koh Kong province. Minibuses with air conditioning run between Trat and Haad Lek from 05:00 until 17.00. The price per trip 100 Bath, travel time 1 hour 30 minutes From the border check-point can be reached to Sihanoukville, both on land and on water. At the border you can rent a car or motorbike. Depending on the quality of the roads or the weather the journey can take from 4 to 7 hours.
If by boat (40 Bath), first go to Koh Kong province. And from there you can rent a speed boat to Sihanoukville and you will need 3 hours to reach Phnom Penh.

One of the popular hiking destinations in Koh Chang's west coast starts from Klong Son bay and goes to Kai Bae beach. In the northern part of the island you can travel from Ban Klong Son to Had Sai Khao (White Sand Beach).
