 Flight from Bangkok to Trat
are operates by Bangkok Airway. Flights are carried out from international airport Suvarnabhumi, 2 times day - during a low season and 3 times - in high.

Please note: Guests who take the last flight of the day to Trad will not be able to travel to Koh Kood the same evening, as there are no boat transfers to Koh Kood after dark.
Now is open the airport on Koh Mai Si Lek island, on northwest coast of Koh Kood. The runway 860 m long, is capable to accept light planes from Bangkok and Trat.

Getting to Koh Kood bu car |
There are 3 routes to get to Koh Kood by Car (approximate distance from BKK 350 km.) :
- Take the Motorway/ Highway 7) (ontinuation of Rama IX. Road) . Follow the Road meet Highway 344.. Follow this road passing Banbung and ones you reach The Klaeng Crossroads, turn to the left on to Highway 3. Continue toward Trat.
- Take highway 3 (Bangna – Trat) , pass Chonburi, Rayong and Chantaburi and continue towards Trat (385 km.)
- Take Highway 3 (Bangna – Trat) go drive until you reach highway 344 (Chonburi – Banbung – Klaeng) Turn left, and keep on going towards Klaeng. At The Klaeng Crossroads, turn to the left ton o highway 3 and follow the road until you reach Trat. (315 km.)
Note: Further the car to leave on a parking. Cargo ferries to Koh Kood is impossible. Parking payment - 50 THB/day is accessible on Krom Luang and Laem Sok pier.

Getting to Koh Kood by bus |
Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses depart from Bangkok's Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekamai) to Trat every hour from 6 a.m. to midnight. From Bangkok the buses to Trat cost 169 baht for 1st class air-conditioned buses (132 baht for 2nd class) and 197 baht for 24-seat VIP air-conditioned buses or 113 baht for regular buses. The trip takes five to six hours by air-conditioned bus or about eight hours by regular bus.

Several non air-conditioned buses leave daily, starting from 07.00a.m.-11.00p.m. Fare is 78B (Tel.02 391-2504). Air-conditioned buses leave every 1.30 hours, starting from 07.00a.m.-11.00p.m.. Fare is 140B (Tel. 02 391-4164).
From Chanthaburi to Trat, the regular bus takes about 30 minutes. If one goes by taxi from Chanthaburi to Trat, it takes around 45 minutes.
Alternatively, if you want to take a bus directly from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, there is a company who offer Air-Con and Mini Buses to Trat. It takes around 4 hours and costs 250 THB. Buses leave Suvarnabhumi 1st floor, Gate 8 at 07.45, 11:00 and 14:00
If you go with a group of people, hiring a private van might be the best option because they can pick you up directly at your hotel and drop you off directly at the boats pier, so need to change your mode of transporation several times.An air-conditioned van from your hotel in Bangkok to the boat pier for up to 9 passengers (although Thai people often travel with as many as 15 people in one of these vans) costs around 4500 Baht ( contact us if you want to charter your own van with driver). |
From Trat to Koh Kood by boat |
