Ao Nuan Beach: Just south of the more exploited Ao Phai and Hat Sai Kaew is located a couple of nice small coves with wonderful beaches, one of them is called Ao Nuan Beach. Tiny Ao Nuan somewhat is the most isolated beach on Koh Samet island. Here you can easily find a private spot that you can get peace and quiet, far from other tourists on Koh Samet and the more the busier beaches. Ao Nuan is quite rocky and the very fine, fine-grained sand is broken by rocks on its sides, which makes the beach even more cozy and personal. Around the beach is unspoiled greenery and nature, and it really feels like you come away a bit from the tourist trail when you come here.

The beach is perfect for a small tour of the day. It offers simple accommodation without electricity (bungalow huts on the beach) and a very good restaurant that receives a high score with respect to the food. Staying here, you can put yourself on the beach in the evening and watch the milky way which is not disturbed out of the other light. Just north of Ao Nuan Beach is another quiet beach by the name of Ao Phutsa and a few hundred metres you come to the Ao Tubtim, where a part of the cosy restaurants and beach bars. Thus, you can easily diversify your diet at tubtim and eat in the evening if you want to have a change in food choice.

Here you go way south from the ferry and Na Dan Pier easily by taxi, songthaews or longtailbåt. It is about 2 km, and takes about 15 minutes and costs about 30 Baht. You can also go here from Ao Tubtim or Ao Phutsa beach. The little path/the path down to here from the main road is very steep. Will you by boat to the beach at Ao Cho bay and its little bridge you can walk a path over the cliffs to the north to get to the Ao Nuan Beach

The accommodation, which is here called AO NUAN BUNGALOWS and you can't pre-book them via the telephone or the internet (they are neither), they accept not reservations. We do not recommend to stay at Ao Nuan beach when the accommodation is a bit spartan and simple. It is better to stay at Tubtim beach or Ao Cho beach and do a little walking here to the Ao Nuan Beach. On Ao Tubtim is sovereign bungalow instead Jeps Bungalows that we really recommend. Ao Nuan Beach has a single restaurant, but it is not included but has a good reputation, and we can attest that it is well deserved. Furthermore, prices are extremely cheap compared to the rest of the island. Do you want to have a bit more of the people around you in a cozy beach bar in the evening, we recommend you to take you to Ao Tubtim a small walk to the north.

For those of you who like to hike so there are several nice trails both north and south of the beach. If you are staying at Ao Nuan, you will most likely hear the nature and birdsong rather than other tourists, or audio from human activities.
