 Tonsai bay is a real hive of activity from morning to mid day. When the last ferry leaves the pier the place becomes calm and quiet, returning to the sleepy village atmosphere.

 Tonsai Bay Pier
|
 Tonsai pier is the only path connecting the Phi Phi islands with the outside world and the main centre of the island. Atmosphere, focusing on the ferry schedule is constantly changing during the day. Some days the area around the pier is becoming just as noisy as any city railway station at rush hour, filled with or emptied of passengers, limp in the sun, waiting .
Newly arriving and departing travelers, embarrassed, jostling the confusion of this island Paradise, shrug as flies, from numerous advertising agents, trying to offer them a particular tour or hotel. Honestly, time on Phi Phi is measured by ferries and boats.
After 15.30, when the last boat leaves the island, the atmosphere is much more relaxed, and the streets are finally empty. |

Tonsai bay |
 Stunning Bay with turquoise water is a real beehive, filled with fast boats and boats instead of bees. Arriving ferries, yachts anchored, dive boats, and long-tailed boats and excursion speed-boats pace back and forth in the air is whistling and noise.

Tonsai Beach |
 Although the location is close to the pier, the far western shore of the beach is quite isolated offering silky soft sand, clean and clear water and corals. But for some reason this area is not very popular among tourists and is constantly empty.
In Tonsai you can rent beach chairs for 50 Bath/day near the small resorts or kayak for 300 Bath/2Hrs. Always have breakfast, drinks and snacks, as well as toilets. At any time you can go snorkeling along the edge of the bay, and near the cliffs, which are every day improving their skills, train rock climbers. If you are looking for an isolated place near Tonsai Village where you can really relax, you can boldly head here.

Getting Around Tonsai Bay |
 On Phi Phi Don you can move in three ways only: by foot, by longtail boat and by bike.
Most places in the village can be around for ten minutes, and to Long Beach you will have to get about half an hour.
Boat to Long beach and back will take you for 80/100 Bath (day/night), and can be rented for 1000/2000 Bath half-day/day for travel to Maya Bay, snorkeling, etc., Bike rental of approximately 200 Bath/day.
