Where to Shop on Koh Lanta's East Coast

 On Koh Lanta's East coast you will find a few shops all located in Ko Lanta Old Town within 100 metres of each other, making the shopping is pretty banal and easy.
However, like restaurants some of these stores have this reputation that extends far beyond Koh Lanta, as the quality and uniqueness of their products which makes the Old Town is an excellent place to buy something a bit unusual. |

 Lanta Leather
|
 Despite the name this shop sells not only leather handmade products (belts, wallets, bags and shoes) but also clothes and sarong hippie-style.
Most products made on Koh Lanta.
Opening hours: Daily 09:00 - 18:00

Hammock House |
 It is definitely the most famous shop in Koh Lanta Old Town and probably one of the main reasons to leave the western beaches to ride a motorbike and go to the East coast. In this shop for many years selling luxury hammocks and now have a brand branches on Koh Lipe, Koh Chang, Koh Samui and Koh Tao, but Lanta is the main place. All their hammocks made by the masters of the Mlabri tribe of Northern Thailand. Hammocks for sale all sizes, styles (sedentary, parachute, for two people, travel and woven), as well as a wide range of colors and materials.
These hammocks - statement of style and durability, so expect to pay a bit more than in other areas of Thailand.

Jun & Ying shops |
 These two shops are actually owned by the same family and sell a large range of bags, sarongs, clothing Thai style and jewelry. Their jewelry presents earrings, bracelets, and necklaces made from Thai polished stones, shells and wood.
All products are produced in Thailand, mainly in the North and are of great interest to western shoppers, especially if you are bargaining!
